FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

HOW DO I CONFIRM MY BOOKING?

Once you have selected the date and time of charter and made the full payment, you will receive an email confirming your booking.

 

WHAT'S INCLUDED?
Boat, Captain, Life Jackets, Fuel for local waters around Shelter Island, Rafts, Ice, Bottled Water

 

WHAT'S NOT INCLUDED?

Food, Beverages, Alcohol. Please bring any food or drink you wish excluding red wine (it stains). No Smoking.

WHAT ARE THE DEPARTURE TIMES?

We generally depart at any of these three times 7 days a week starting May 1st until October 15th unless 
you wish to book a 6-hour trip:

  • 10 am - 2 pm

  • 2:30 pm 4:30 pm

  • 7:00 - 10:00 pm Sunset Cruise

Due to high demand, we must depart at these times in June, July and August and on weekends.
Weekdays may have more flexibility.

WHAT'S THE PAYMENT POLICY?

Full payment is due at the time of booking. Once you book the boat, it is taken off the market and is 100% yours. No-cost date changes are only allowed if we find a replacement party to take your initial day. We accept all credit cards and Apple Pay. 

WHAT'S THE CANCELLATION POLICY?

Cancel up to 2 weeks before the trip and get a full refund. Cancel after 2 weeks before the trip and you will receive a refund if we can find a replacement charter.

WHAT'S THE WEATHER CANCELLATION POLICY?

We also obviously care about your safety, so we will not sail in any inclement weather and during any small craft advisory. We will generally make those decisions 2-hours before sailing time. If our captain decides not to set sail that day, due to rain or if a small craft advisory is in effect, you will have an option for a rain date for a period of 28 months. This allows you 3 summer seasons to reschedule. We will apply your payment and you will receive that credit to sail again within the next 28 months.

Once a client books a boat we notify all subsequent inquiries that “the boat is unavailable and taken”, so for this reason we do not offer any refund on cancellations. If you cancel a reservation greater than 90 days away we do allow a no-cost change of the date. Inclement weather as stated above is the sole reason for a cancellation.

WAIVER

All adults in your party must sign a waiver that will be provided before boarding.

INSURANCE

Bali-Bay is fully licensed and insured.
